The First Blog Post
Hi, thank you for checking out my website and getting as far as my blog! This is a pretty big change for me, I’m not used to blogging for an audience. Writing, sure. I have been writing for online publication for more than a decade now, usually it has been in the form of resource guides for one library or another. And for seven years I was writing - and editing - abstracts to be published on a database…but a blog?? No way!
So here we are. They do say that there is a first time for everything. Weekly posts will focus on professional things like relevant resources I have discovered, indexing insights (I do have those sometimes), and other topics along those lines. I’m also happy to post about things that people (i.e., you!) have written to me about; general or specific questions about research, indexes, indexing, libraries, etc.
Credit goes to my good friend, library patron, and author, Michael Albin, for so many things, but most recently for his idea to expand my Indexing Business into a more versatile Word Business. This will hopefully allow me to utilize all my skills by offering a variety of services to authors and publishers.
Thanks again for tuning in to my first post. I’m excited to start this new endeavor and I hope you do come back, and please do reach out, whether it is to just drop a note or to inquire about how we might be able to work together, I would be happy to hear from you.
Ciao…
